Restoring Independence Support & Empowerment (RISE) exists to walk alongside parents navigating the child protection system. Through workshops, therapy, home stabilization support, and holistic programs, we restore dignity, strengthen parenting skills, and create safe spaces for healing and growth. Our mission is more than services; it's about restoring hope, breaking cycles, and creating thriving futures for families.
OUR STORY
RISE was founded by Saneeta Golden MSW, LSW. after nearly two decades in social services. She witnessed the struggles parents face in the child protection system and created RISE to provide not just resources, but hope and healing. Today, RISE is a safe space where parents rebuild confidence, restore stability, and families flourish.
WHAT WE DO
Comprehensive support designed for whole-family healing:
Parenting Classes
Evidence-based classes that build skills in child development, positive discipline, stress management, and healthy communication. Certificates of completion are provided for DCFS case plans.
Parent Coaching
One-on-one, personalized guidance to help parents apply skills in real time. Coaches provide encouragement, accountability, and tailored strategies for each family’s needs.
Parent Workshops
Interactive group sessions on practical topics such as rebuilding trust, navigating visits, co-parenting, and self-care during stressful times.
Therapy Services
Licensed therapists specializing in trauma-informed care, offering individual and family therapy to support healing and stability.
Holistic Programs
Mindfulness, nutrition, wellness education, and additional supports that strengthen both parent and child well-being.
Home Stabilization Support
Hands-on, six-month support for families returning home—helping with routines, budgeting, life balance, and household management.
Community Outreach
Partnering with schools, churches, and agencies to extend resources and strengthen community support networks.
PEER MENTOR PROGRAM
Building Leaders, Empowering Families
Parents who’ve completed RISE programs become mentors, guiding others with lived experience. This cycle of empowerment creates role models, economic opportunities, and a ripple effect of healing within the community.
